Tween Ages 9-12
Preadolescence is a stage of human development following early childhood and preceding adolescence. It generally ends with the beginning of puberty, but may also be defined as ending with the start of the teenage years.

It is that “middle ground” between childhood and teenage years they now find themselves. They can get stuck trying to figure out who they are becoming in relation to their emerging selves and the world around them. FGG
